I am beginning to doubt my future in photography. Not that I want to, but maybe it is time for me to consider other lines of work. I have been considering the Peace Corps as well as book publishing.
Penguin books is hiring a designer and a pre-press associate for their headquarters in New York City and if I qualified I wouldn't mind living there.
The Peace Corps would also be an interesting change of pace. I would love to meet people of an entirely different culture and learn a new language. The Corps could also give me an extra toe-hold on jobs in the future.
Even though I am doubting my role as a photographer I still knuckled down and purchased a 20mm nikon lens today. It has an aperture of 2.8. I need this lens if I am going to shoot any photographs for the holidays.
As it stands right now all I own is a 80-200mm lens. While this is nice, it isn't practical at all. What's more, this 20mm lens could help me create more stock photography.
